Lacy’s Express, Incorporated is a family owned and operated, diversified, transportation company, incorporated in 1968 in Salem County, New Jersey.
Ferrell’s Trucking was established in 1962 by William and Eileen Ferrell as a home heating oil business. In the summer months when the business was slow, William and Eileen established Ferrell’s Trucking, which hauled produce and glass bottles.
In 1968 Lacy’s Express, Inc., an established LTL (less than truckload) trucking company in the Philadelphia area owned by Lacy DePrinzio, came up for sale. William and Eileen purchased the company for the operating authority and continued the produce, glass, and LTL work.
Lacy’s began working in the tank business in 1969 for local companies in the area but still continued with the freight business. William and Eileen decided to shelf the Ferrell’s Trucking in 1974 and began operating solely as Lacy’s Express. They closed the LTL business and applied for ICC authority in the US for common contract for liquid bulk. By 1979 they were well established with liquid bulk and Lacy’s starting hauling hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Lacy’s is a competitive carrier for not only hazardous and industrial waste, but also drayage and liquid bulk some very prominent companies.
Currently, Lacy’s Express employs several company drivers that are supported by an office staff and trained shop mechanics. Our fleet size consists of several company owned late model truck tractors, fleet service truck, multiple tank trailers, van trailers, intermodal container chasis, several vac trailers including stainless steel and FRP. This fleet is supported by an emergency response/service vehicle.
Lacy’s Express also has intermodal lifting capability for sea containers and tanks in our secured storage yard in the form of a Taylor Model TEC-950 ninety-five thousand pound capacity crane.
Our business operates at our sole facility and terminal location at 26 East Mill Street in Pedricktown, NJ 08067.

My goal at Lacy’s express, Inc. is continual growth through customer satisfaction. I am responsible for driver’s hours of service regulations. I make every effort to supply the right driver for the right job. I take pride in my relationship with the drivers and attempt to satisfy their needs along with customer’s needs. It is my personal goal to provide competitive rates and safe transportation for our customers.
